Croquant Chou ZAKUZAKU at Siam Center

BAKE Cheese Tart Thailand, the local importer of Japanese-born BAKE Cheese Tart has introduced a new brand called Croquant Chou ZAKUZAKU (“ZAKUZAKU”), the pastry’s sister brand famous for its crunchy Croquant Chou, to Thai foodies. The first Bangkok branch is located on the M Floor of Siam Center.

Born in 2014, ZAKUZAKU is one of Japan’s most famous pastry brand for being the first Japanese bakehouse to offer Croquant Chou, a unique kind of stick-typed cream puff that’s freshly filled custard cream and completed with a crunchy texture. Adhering to the house’s “Factory in Shop” concept, each chou is freshly baked in-store and custard cream is filled by each order so customers could witness the entire process and be overwhelmed by its guaranteed freshness. Apart from the renowned Croquant Chou, ZAKUZAKU also serves up Soft Serve ice cream made of Hokkaido milk and coated with crunchy Croquant crusts.

The uniqueness of ZAKUZAKU stands by the “wearable choux” philosophy, which reflects on the aspiration to create an exclusive kind of baked goodie that you can enjoy anywhere and any time, similar to fashion items. ZAKUZAKU opened its first store in Shinjuku in Tokyo in 2014 and has four branches across Japan in Harajuku, Ikebukuro, Fukuoka and Osaka, as well as 10 more overseas branches in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand.

ZAKUZAKU in Bangkok promises to carry on the philosophy of the brand, offering only the best quality baked goods made mainly of imported ingredients from Japan, such as semi-produced chou crust full of crunchy Croquants, and Soft Serve ice cream made of milk from Hokkaido. BAKE Cheese Tart Thailand, led by Willy McIntosh, Kathaleeya McIntosh and their business partners, hosted a party to celebrate the grand opening of ZAKUZAKU on 27 April 2018. Members of media and celebrated guests including Ponphan Sittinawawit, Passorn Sittinawawit, Napasasi Surawan and Ice Amena Gul presided over the event.

ZAKUZAKU’s Croquant Chou and Soft Serve are now available at ZAKUZAKU shop on M Floor, at Siam Center. Retail prices are 75 Baht for Croquant Chou and 135 Baht for Soft Serve. The shop opens daily from 10.00-22.00, and you can call the staff at 091 916 4224.
