From Thursday 2nd of March until Saturday the 4th, Paul-Henri Perrot, Lombard & Cie Champagne Brand Ambassador visited Thailand and exciting events were organized by G Four Fine Wines and Spirits to welcome him.
The program started with a Masterclass for selected customers and Plaza Athenee staff. They had the chance to taste 3 Champagne of the portfolio, imported by GFour: Champagne Brut Reference, Champagne Rose Premier Cru and the exceptional Blanc de Blancs 2004.
Indeed, Lombard & Cie is a small family own Champagne house located in Epernay. Founded in 1925 by Robert Andrieu, a farmer coming from the Southwest of France, his son-in-law, Philippe Lombard took over the family estate in the 1960’s and then Thierry Lombard, Phillipe’s son, became president in 1977. Now for three generations the same family has run the estate and kept its legacy intact.
The day after, the Plaza Athenee and G Four partnered for a tantalizing tasting of six different Champagnes paired with a delectable six-course modern French menu with lobster, duck liver, quail and much more, at The Reflexions Restaurant.
This dinner allowed everyone to discover the Champagne at its fullest and to introduce also the new label, freshly arrived in Thailand. The Champagne house decided to renew their labels in order to offer a modern and purer line to their bottles.
Finally, M. Paul-Henri Perrot headed to Koh Samui to enjoy the grand Opening of L’Italiano Restaurant. Privileged guests enjoyed Lombard Brut free flow to celebrate the first night of L’Italiano, situated in Samui Fisherman Village. Nothing was better than a glass of Lombard Champagne to welcome into Samui’s nightlife the newly opened restaurant.
